Rock throwing murder in Colorado: more chilling details emerge
Alexa Bartell

Alexa Bartell was killed by a rock throw through her windshield. That happened on 19 April. She was 20.
Now three teenagers face trial for her murder. Meanwhile, investigators have uncovered other facts related to this horrific murder. For instance, they have discovered that the teens had similarly attacked a number of other people and, following Bartell running off the road, the suspects had stopped to take pictures of the disabled vehicle with the driver who was dying inside, or already dead. So there is no way to now claim that they were merely fooling around and were not aware of the outcome of their actions.
Not sure what to make of these suspects. Perhaps evil is with us at all ages, perhaps it just finds a way to surface - even in violence of this kind, even in absence of a profit motive or coercion. Not sure. And, frankly, young as they may be, I do believe they deserve severe punishment if found guilty, which seems likely. I oppose death penalty but, honestly, will lose little sleep if they never breathe the air of freedom again in their lives.
